Karlee in the sound of music

I’ve always wanted to be a performer and sing in musicals. I was in the musical “Kismet” my senior year. I didn’t have a very big part, but I just ate it up. I got the music bug, I just never did much with it. I would have loved to have the opportunities Kar has. She was able to perform in her school musical “The Sound of Music”. She goes to a charter school that is K-12. So it gives her an awesome opportunity to be part of the high school play. She had a little singing part as part of the Vienna Children’s Choir. She sang the Little Goat Herder and a couple of other songs. She did awesome. It was soooo much fun watching her perform. I just love watching her grow up.

Valentines Day

Ok so this wasn’t exactly a valentines gift. The kids had a day off at school and Matt wanted to get something fun to entertain them with. He got an electronic snap set, and a microscope which Bryn has wanted forever. The kids built lots of stuff from an FM radio to a motion sensor. They had sooo much fun. So did Matt. I always call him my BIG KID. She loved it of course. And here’s a few pics of the fam on Valentines. Thanks to our friend Kirk, Matt got a new little target. Him and Kirk thought it would be funny to give to their wives on Valentines. So Matt brought down the little target and said, “Happy Valentines.” I recently got a pink .22 pistol, so I thought he was serious about this being my present. Then he said,”Just kidding!” Then he brought me my real present......A guitar. I don’t play yet, and this is actually the 2nd guitar Matt has bought me. This time he is hoping we both learn how to play. I am looking forward to that!

Adalee’s 1st Birthday

My little baby has turned one. I am actually posting this 2 months after her birthday. I think mostly because once I post it, it means it really happened. I am totally not ready for Addi to grow up. I tell her constantly to stop. I never put her on the ground until she was about 6 months old. In hopes that she would not crawl or walk early. I guess it didn’t matter. She was crawling at 6 1/2 months and walking at 9 1/2 months. She seems so grown up. I can’t stand it. I wanted to make her day special. We made a special video of her first year “All about Addi”. I hope you will take some time to watch it. Please comment, I love to hear what you all have to say. Here’s my little Adalee. We did a birthday photo shoot she wasn’t very happy about it. But, I think we got a few good pics. (Oh I just luv this girl. She is sooo fetchin’ cute!))

So I need to introduce my favorite Christmas tree to you first. I haven’t wanted to take this one down. I think about you all so often that when I look at this tree I feel like you are in my home with me. Thanks for the Christmas cards. I love you all soooo much! I hope the New Year brings you much Joy and Happiness. I can’t wait to see what it brings me.

This year was such a blast! We just love Christmas time at our house. We had two trees this year which was sooo much fun. The kids helped decorate and we talked about our favorite Christmas memories.

Mason’s Birthday & Baptism

I love this little boy to death! I can’t believe he is 8. I think I turned my head for a moment when he was a baby and then BOOM he was getting baptized. I don’t dare blink because then he will be leaving on his mission. Mason is such a sweetheart. He is probably my most loving child. He is always watching out for his brother and sisters, and he is very protective of them. This year he really wanted an ipod touch for his b-day, and with Matt as his dad. I don’t think there was a chance he wasn’t going to get it. Matt loves nothing more than spoiling his kids rotten. I pray they don’t go rotten, but figure out somewhere along the way that they are the best things that have ever happened to us, and that we love them no matter what.

This year I decided to write something I was thankful for everyday of November on Facebook. Here a few of the things I said I was thankful for:

Recipe night in my ward
Keegan not needing stitches and still having his teeth in place
My Young Women (they are the best)
Two beautiful sisters who I desperately need to go on another
cruise with. I love you guys!

My beautiful children. Karlee(9) for being such a great helper, Mason(almost 8) for being such a stud with a HUGE heart, Brynlee(6) for being my little ninja, Keegan(3) for being a busy little boy, and my sweet little Adalee(9 mths) for being my baby baby forever, she could not be any sweeter. I feel so lucky to have such great kids in my life. I love them more than anything. I am truly thankful.

My husband for being such a nerd! He works so hard. (Most of you probably think that’s not true HA!) when he’s not working he’s still working hard at home. I love my MAN!

Such awesome mom/sis-in-laws! We spent all weekend at Time Out For Women! It was soo much fun although we didn't get to play nearly hard enough! Guess we need to plan another getaway...This time with Mandy too. I missed you Mandy! Thanks girls for such a fun time :P

and last but definitely not least.......

Family..... My mom for the woman she is, and the woman I am because of her. My dad for his never ending knowledge he is better than google. Any question I ask him he always has the best advice for me. I feel soo lucky for the awesome peeps in my life. I love them alll!

Now on to Thanksgiving Day
We spent it at my Grandma Nichols house. I feel so lucky to have her in my life, and to have her in my kids life. They are so lucky to get to know her. She really is the best. I have learned so much from her. I love her sooo much! We had some awesome grub! My cousin Tifni and her two boys Tyler and Johnny were there. It was soo fun to see them and catch up on life. It was such a fun day! And a lot of sleepers.

Halloween

Halloween is a pretty big event at our house. This year was no different. Our costumes got a lot of use this year. I think we got dressed up 6 different times. Yeah I think we might have overdone it a little! I was a little burnt out by the time the real day got here, but we had FUN none the less. We started things off with a Birthday Bash for my Dad, Costumes and all. We had a blast! My grandma and grandpa Ellis judged the costumes for us. It was so much fun showing up at there house to scare them! HAAA HAAA HAAAA! They loved having us there. We will have to do it again next year. Maybe we could get them to dress up too. :) John got 1st place, Addi got 2nd, and Maddix got 3rd. Of course my grandma asked the kids to help judge. The rest of us got anywhere from HOTTEST to SCARRIEST! It was soo much fun!

GRAMMY’S BIRTHDAY!

My mom’s birthday really should be a National Holiday! She celebrates it for the the whole month of August. (Maybe even longer.) Last year we were on a Disney Cruise for her Birthday. This year wasn’t quite as exciting, but it was definitely as good because we were with our family. We went to Bear Lake which might just become a tradition. The water is soo beautiful there. It’s as close to the Caribbean that you can get as far as beauty. We had so much fun boating, jet skiing and just relaxing.
